Our Equalities Team is led by Mrs Bancroft and is made up of elected children from each class, TA Mr Trenchard, and a school Governor Mrs Phillips.
We want everyone in our school community to be treated fairly and with respect so we work to promote this. We celebrate a variety of cultures, languages and diversity in our school and community. Assemblies each term focus on our school values, equality and diversity, and we encourage everyone to 'be your selfie'.
The E-Team meet when there is a cultural event which we want to recognise, organise or celebrate in school. Some of the events we met to plan last year were for BBC Children in Need, and IDAHOT (Rainbow families) day. We also celebrate events like the Chinese New Year, Remembrance Day, the Paralympics and organize an anti-bullying week.
October: First E team meeting when it was decided they wanted us to support BBC Children in Need again this year www.bbc.co.uk/corporate2/childreninneed
November: The big Spotacular (supporting Children in Need)

December: sing up choir went to sing to the elderly residents of Homeavon House Christmas celebration with the Keynsham Good Afternoon Choir.
February: E-Team members did a class environment audit to check if their class entrance and parent notice board, books and displays reflected the languages, cultures and faiths of everyone in the class and their families.
