Welcome to Owl Class!
We are a lovely bunch of smiley children in Year 2 and our class teacher is Miss Goebel. Mrs Stride and Mrs Butler also help us do our amazing learning!
In the mornings, we learn English and Maths that is linked to our topic work and in the afternoon, we focus on other fun subjects such as Art, Music, History and much more. We learn about many exciting topics in Year 2 - our first topic is 'Everything is Awesome!', where we will being doing lots of cool science experiments!
Now that we are in Year 2, we will be doing lots of important preparation and learning new skills for when we move to KS2 at the end of the school year.
In Owl Class, we work as a team, share ideas, investigate and explore new exciting things! This page is for us to show all of our amazing work, keep parents informed about any upcoming events and also to do some learning at home with our Kid's Zone at the bottom of the page. If you have any ideas that will help make our class page even better, let Miss Goebel know!
Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you to all of the parents and carers that attended the workshop in school. If you were unable to attend, but would be interested in an early evening workshop then please come and let us know. If we have enough interest, we will hold a second session.
Below is the PowerPoint Presentation we shared during the morning, with lots of great information to help you support your child with reading and writing.
Useful Owl Class Information
Our PE days this term (term 1) are on Mondays and Wednesdays.
We have an open class Reading Morning every Tuesday, from 8:50 am until 9:05 am. This is a chance for Parents, Grannies and Grandads, Aunties and Uncles to pop in and share a book with their child in our classroom.
We hope to see you there!
