Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
Chandag Infants School has a committed and active Parent Teacher Association that organises a wide range of events and activities throughout the year. These include a fireworks night, a Christmas fair, family discos, cakes sales and a summer fair. All of which which have been enjoyed by many members of the school community.
The funds raised by the PTA make a huge contribution to resources that enhance the learning experiences and environment for all our children. In past years, they have contributed to the development of the school grounds and bought netbooks for our school. This year we are raising funds to support the Small World Project which will see the large playground transformed into a great outdoor space (see more information in the PDF at the bottom of the page), and to resurface the muddy area in the reception playground.
All parents of children in the school are automatically members of the PTA and your contribution will be very welcome and most valuable. We are always looking for volunteers to give us new ideas, and to help and support our organised events throughout the year.
Please come and join us, we have lots of fun and your contribution however big or small will be much appreciated.
If you are interested, please speak to a PTA class representative (picture of them are outside each class room),or find us on Facebook. Alternatively you can e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Keep up to date with our news in the PTA update section of the school newsletter.
You can donate directly to our cause through our My Donate page.
We would love to see you!
Note from Mrs Smart (Headteacher)
We have a fantastic PTA who raise a considerable amount of money for our children. Please consider joining and keep checking back on this website or the PTA Facebook page to find out about the events taking place. Apart from raising money there is also a lot of fun that takes place whilst the money is being raised.
Class Reps are parents of children in each class who help support the PTA by drumming up enthusiasm and help for specific events such as the Christmas and Summer Fair. They are also the people to talk to if you have an idea or suggestion that you would like to pass on to the PTA. See below for the Reps in your child's class.
